TOP TIPS for the November 3, 2026
General Election
1. Check Your Registration!
Even if you don't think you need to, do a quick check online to make sure your registration is active. While you are there make sure your name and address are correct!
In Virginia, go to the Virginia Citizen's Portal to check or update your registration.
If not in Virginia, go to https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/.
2. Know Your Ballot!
All Virginians will vote for:
- 1 US Senate
- 1 US House
- 3 VA Constitutional Amendments
Depending on your locality you may also have local or special elections. Research before you go and vote the whole ballot!
Go to your Virginia locality's election website to review YOUR sample ballot, or go to https://bluevoterguide.org/.
3. Vote Early!
Early voting starts on Friday, September 18.
Bank your vote early and send a message that Virginia is ready to vote! Voting by Mail? Drop-off your ballot at a drop box location rather than returning via USPS. Be sure to drop off your ballot early!
Go to your Virginia locality's election website to review the locations and hours of operations for early voting centers.

We are an active Indivisible Group in Fairfax County, VA.
Turning the Tables is a grassroots group that was created in March 2025 in direct response to the threat to our democracy resulting from the 2024 election.
We are dedicated to strengthening democracy through civic and voter education, constitutional literacy, and informed, inclusive civic participation. We believe in peaceful action, equal rights, the rule of law, and a democracy that works for everyone.

Since our start in 2025, we have held rallies to support the nationwide NO KINGS protests, offered information sessions on the U.S. Constitution, trained volunteers in voter registration, boosted community communication skills, written over 2,000 postcards to support elections in VA, NJ, and PA, and conducted many Get Out the Vote and voter registration events.
In 2026, we are even more active! And, we are interested in any ideas you want to share.
